In Alaska, an employer must provide an Alaska Certified Studio Teacher for a child performer under the age of 18 years.

Michigan’s work hour regulations for children employed in the entertainment industry are among the strictest in the country.

A production company is required to travel a California studio teacher outside of the state of California if the following three conditions exist simultaneously:
  • The minor is a permanent resident of California
  • The minor is employed by a company located in California
  • The minor is employed under contractual arrangements made in California
